Hi! I'm GODOT, the team leader for the graphics team. My discord is @godot5111, if you want to contact or ask me anything about the project I'll respond as soon as I'm able to.
Before continuing with this doc, please read the General Onboarding Document here.
What We Do?
Section titled “What We Do?”Our team is responsible for the graphics of the project. That doesn't mean it's only going to be making sprites for the game. It also means, for example, doing assets for the website, for a video, for a milestone etc.
Some examples of what we do can be, but are not limited to:
Creating sprites for the game: Creating sprites can vary a lot, from making portraits for characters, making backgrounds, making textures, etc…
Making website assets
Making 3D model texture assets
Contributions
Section titled “Contributions”The process of assigning tasks is self-directed. You'll need to select a task from the GitHub Project Board under “Ready” & assign yourself. Sometimes, team leads will ask you to do some issues as well.
Once you have finished, please share photos/videos of the completed asset to the #graphics-lounge for feedback. Once we've given the OK, you can upload the files to the Graphics team’s folder in Google Drive..
Make sure that you strictly follow the Roadmap. If you want to work on an issue that isn’t on the roadmap, make sure you get approval from the team lead (GODOT) or the project lead (thebosst). If you want to work on an issue that IS on the Roadmap, find the associated GitHub issue! If you can’t find it, feel free to make a new issue under the “New” tab.
All new Graphics team members must also read Graphics Team Reference & Art Standards.
AI Usage Policy
Section titled “AI Usage Policy”- There will be NO usage of Generative AI within the Graphics Team. Anyone found to be using it to produce assets for the project will be kicked from the team, and have their contributions removed.
